Acupuncture is a form of complementary medicine invented in China that is intended to treat disease and relieves pain.
I am always on the lookout for healthy ways to improve my pain naturally. I read about what Acupuncture can do for Cerebral Palsy or anyone suffering from chronic pain, which makes me want to try it ASAP.
Doctors have noticed that it increases bone density and helps with chronic pain also encourages brain injury repair and helps hypertonicity for those with Cerebral Palsy, I’m so excited about this new form of therapy.
Adaptive Yoga! Breathing, Flexibility, Balance
I have known for a long time that Yoga is important for anyone disability or not. For a while, I had a hard time finding anything on adaptive Yoga. Those days are long gone.
Check out Mindbody Solutions to get an adaptive yoga DVD. You can always check out YouTube to find even more adaptive yoga videos.
It is the best adaptive yoga video I have ever used. Everyone on the video has disabilities, including Matthew the yoga instructor who has paralysis due to a car accident when he was very young.
The doctors initially told Matthew to forget that the lower half of his body existed and he did for many years and then one day he was introduced to yoga and has used it to improve the quality of his life and others who suffer with physical disabilities.
I’m a huge fan of Zumba in general but adaptive Zumba rocks big time too. I love to dance and have been a huge music fan all of my life so this is right up my alley. I suggest you sign up for your nearest Zumba class and shake your booty. You can find adaptive Zumba videos on YouTube. “Shake it but don’t break it”
Those are my favorite ways to improve the quality of my life holistically. Nothing to lose and everything to gain, try them!
