A UK-based children’s charity is calling out to families with disabled children. A number of therapy tricycles are in their possession and they want to give them away to change the lives of the young recipients.
Caudwell Children is a charitable institution dedicated to helping and supporting disabled kids across the United Kingdom. Their goal is to change the future of these youngsters by granting access to the therapies, treatment, equipment, and services they need. They want these children to reach their full potential by helping and enabling them to lead an independent and active life. The charity is also committed to raising awareness and understanding the special needs of the children.
Today, the Caudwell Children is calling out to parents who have disabled children, or anyone raising kids with physical disabilities. They have been recently funded to acquire five therapy tricycles. The charity is searching across Wiltshire for possible recipients of the tricycles.
Each life enhancing equipment is designed individually in order to match the special needs of each of its users. The therapy tricycles can provide physical therapy, help build muscle tone through regular exercise and even promote play. The tricycles cost about £800 to £1,500.
The three-wheeled special needs equipment does not only support the physical needs of the children but it boosts their confidence and self-esteem as well. The tricycle aids the emotional well-being of the kids by renewing their sense of inclusion.
The charity reaches out to the county, calling families with disabled kids to claim the equipment. They want the therapy tricycles to be distributed or given as soon as possible so that kids needing them will be able to use the equipment immediately.
Trudi Beswick, the charity’s chief executive officer, stated that Caudwell Children has been giving and donating hundreds of life changing three-wheeled therapy devices throughout the United Kingdom annually. Unfortunately, they do not have applicants at the moment. The tricycles currently in their possession are just waiting to be claimed.
With the therapy tricycles, it is possible to create positive change in the lives of disabled kids. With such change, there is hope for a brighter, independent and active future.
