Located in Mumbai's Khar suburb, Esttheva Hair Salon & Spa is making a difference in the lives of people with disabilities in a massive way. Aside from ensuring the entry allows wheelchair users to come inside without any sort of inconvenience, the salon offers a spacious interior, making it easier for them to maneuver their wheelchairs.
Given that most salons are inaccessible, people using wheelchair stay aloof from the pleasure of being pampered at a luxurious salon. Breaking with tradition, Esttheva Hair Salon & Spa is leaving no stone unturned in a bid to make luxury salon experience available to those using wheelchairs.
Keeping in line with that, the entry to the newly opened unisex beauty parlor has been made accessible to wheelchair users. Even the area inside is big enough to accommodate at least two people using wheelchairs.
Esttheva founders Vidhi Jagwani and Sanjana Bachani draw inspiration from Rajesh Patil, Co-founder of wheelchair taxi service Ezy Mov for reaching out to people with disabilities. In addition to comfort and easy access, the parlor offers special rates and discounts to people with disabilities on multiple services and packages.
"From facials to massages, we are offering all kinds of beauty services to people in wheelchairs so they can enjoy the feel-good experience too", says Bachani.
Expecting more wheelchair-using customers to come in, the founders have also invested time in training the staff, ensuring they are aware of their needs. Systems engineer Jasmina Khanna, who is one of the salon's first customers noted that the person attending to her eventually became more comfortable and noted that she was pleased with the overall experience.
EzyMov plans to team up with restaurants and a slew of other accessible places that provide leisure and fun to people with disabilities. If you are interested in visiting Esttheva Hair Salon & Spa, you can get in touch with Sanjana Bachani at +91 98196-43196 and book an appointment.
