Wow, this site has given me the motivation & inspiration needed to begin transforming my dream of becoming a writer, into reality. I'm hoping the Rolling Without Limits community can and will embrace my posts, not only with open hearts and minds but, also with constructive criticism and suggestions.
Becoming a writer is actually my second dream. The first has always, from a young age, been to be a mother. This dream came true in May of 2011, when I was blessed with a beautiful baby boy. This dream continues to flourish before my eyes day after day, as I raise and watch my son grow. This little boy is the sunshine of my life, and keeps me looking on the bright side of life, no matter what continues to pile atop my plate. He is my proof that miracles do happen, as I was told from the age of 18 that I would never have kids. To all my "gimps" out there, women and men have you heard this before as well?
As I continue to post, I look forward to sharing one of the toughest times of my life with others who are are disabled and persevering through adversity.
Before I send my first post off into cyber world, let me tell you a little about myself. (I'm nervous as heck to click that submit button by the way), I'm a 32 year old single mom with Cerebral Palsy that had to move back home with my son last year. I've written a few childrens stories, but have not yet attempted publishing.
I look forward to sharing my journey with you in future posts, and hope you'll actively participate in the comment section below, as well as on social networks like Facebook and Twitter.
To be continued...
