Our Amazing Bodies

A bit about when you have a compromised condition:

Usually our first resource and response is going to the doctor's office when you're noticing a problem with something.  Or maybe you had a traumatic brain injury, were in a car accident, or any number of things, it's only natural to want to get it fixed.

I don't know about you but I tend to avoid going to the doctor unless I have a broken bone or asevere cut that needs stitches.  I respect the skill and training that the physician's have, but I'm a firm believer that our bodies are the the true miracle.

When I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1993, I had this uncanny sense that there was either too much ,or not enough of something in my environment or diet.  I still believe that today.

Consequently, I have been on the search ever since for that solution, that magic formula that was totally natural, (God given so-to-speak), and noninvasive.

A condition like Multiple Sclerosis that has no cure according to the medical professionals. In todays culture, the most common response is to run to the doctor for a magic pill or a quick fix. We have become a society of instant gratification and convenience.

I grew up in a family where the only time you went to the doctor was as I've described above, with a broken bone or severe laceration. This was because there was always a lack of money. Given what I know, that the records show that the number two leading cause of death is due to  errors made by attending physicians (iatrogenic causes,) and that one prescription usually leads to having to take two or three more to counteract side effects, I have chosen not to get that ball rolling.

Over the years, a few supplements and therapies have shown some positive effects and progress against the progression of this disease.  Not to mention the fact that it saved me about $1500 a month to not be on the medication that's recommended!

The untold damage that my body would have suffered is staggering when I look at other M.S. patients/friends, is mind boggling to me.  Just to make myself clear, I am not trying to play doctor or recommend that you quit doing whatever your doctor is saying to do. It's just my personal opinion.

Everyone has to choose for themselves the course of action they will take.  My choices have brought me to these incredible water soluble nutrients from VIZ!

They go right along my original beliefs, feelings, and thoughts, that our bodies are capable of handling many things, if we provide them with the correct balance of hydration, nutrition, exercise, rest and sunshine.

The following video clip is from a friend who fell off his bike and suffered a traumatic brain injury. His recovery is astounding and speedy.

Vote #3. In a way we're the same. I tend to avoid the doctor because, well, they charge a lot and they stay in depressing offices where a lot of people probably die! LOL. God I hate hospitals. Here where I live, we have an "ambularyo" or "hilot" and what they do is use leaves of different trees and patch them in the affected area. I never go to the hilot a lot - but he's my pesuedofriend. lol. Seriously, herbal remedies coupled with the strong belief that you would get healed - works for some people. I guess not just me.

Thanks Daniel! When you think about it no one is truly the only one. Did you mean that herbals & beliefs haven't helped you? I'm not using herbals though. I guess I need to be more clear in my writing.

No, I don't believe in the albularyo. Well, I can attest to two leaves that have been used for a very long time. Guava leaves for wounds. Sambong for the common cough. Works like a charm.

I've heard of Guava leaves. I doubt I can get the Sambong in Colorado. I'm using krill oil, CoQ10, D3, E, milk thistle & other nutrients. It's the krill that is helping the most.

Thanks. That's exactly Why I do what I do. I'm sick and tired of hearing all the people getting this terrible diagnosis. It only says to me that what Americans are doing is the cause of a lot of the rise in this type of problem. Diabetes is another good example. I'm sorry to hear about your daughter's diagnoses. Blessings on you all, Lori

#7 Great! I'm into preventative and alternative medicine myself. Exercise, eating right and keeping hydrated are better than half the battle of your body getting rid of diseases. The goal is to achieve the hormonal balance and increase metabolism. I just added you to my bloggers. Please come and check out my latest on Improving Writing Techniques and vote if you like.
