Your Complete Guide to Stay Fashionable + Stylish in a Wheelchair

If you are someone who has a penchant for fashion and looking stylish in every way, you shouldn't let anything get in the way of looking your most stylish self – not even a wheelchair. Just because you are sitting in a wheelchair doesn't mean that you can’t wear what you want to wear and dress how you want to dress.

Remember that you can still develop your own style and still look and feel amazing about yourself. So, if you don’t know how to get started, here are some simple, yet helpful fashion tips to keep you looking glam even with a wheelchair.

1. Wear stylish and comfortable shoes.

Even if you are using a wheelchair all the time, wearing very attractive and beautiful shoes will be perfectly fine. Remember that good shoes play a significant part in someone’s entire outfit. In fact, it will even make your overall look stand out.

2. Don’t give up on skirts.

Being in a wheelchair does not mean you already need to ditch nice, printed, flattering skirts. Short skirts are also possible, although maxi skirts are one of my favorites, as long as they have a nice, unique pattern.

3. Emphasize your waistline.

If you are wearing a loose dress, you can always enhance the way you look and add a more stylish touch to your outfit by wearing a belt. Don’t hesitate to play around with belts because they can do wonders when it comes to adding an accent to your lool.

4. Make your torso look longer.

When you are using a wheelchair, your torsos tend to look shorter than they are but don’t worry, there’s something you can do to deal with this dilemma. Wear a top that is a little longer than what you would usually wear. This way, you can create an illusion of a longer torso.

5. Accessorize.

Nothing should stop you from accessorizing. Nothing will look better than statement necklaces that are currently on trend, who says you can’t wear them? Don’t deprive yourself of makeup too, as well as eyewear, hair pieces, purses and other accessories that can hype up your style.
